Tim Rougeau has been playing the organ and singing in Berkshire County parishes for 25 years. He began at the age of 12 as a substitute organist at the former North American Martyrs Parish in Lanesborough. From there, he moved on to St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Cheshire and was the Sunday morning organist from 1997-2000, principal organist from 2000-2003 and Music Director from 2002-2003. After graduating with a Bachelor's of Arts in History and Music from Assumption College in Worcester, MA in 2005, Tim became the Music Director and Organist at St. Peter Parish in Great Barrington, MA in 2006. He also became Music Director at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Housatonic in 2009.
In an effort to move closer to home, Tim was hired as Director of Music Ministries at Sts. Patrick and Raphael Parish in Williamstown on July 1, 2011. He remained there until being hired as the Music Director here at St. John Paul II Parish on August 1, 2014. Tim hopes to remain here for many years to come.
Tim earned his Masters in Education from MCLA in 2019.
Tim lives in Adams with his wife Sarah and son Wills. When he's not in church, he teaches English and History to 7th and 8th graders at Gabriel Abbott Memorial School in the town of Florida, MA.
